Drone Strike Destroys Arms-Laden Boat Near Yemen's Zukur Island

A drone strike on Thursday, October 22, 2026, destroyed a boat reportedly carrying weapons and prohibited materials as it approached Zukur Island in the Red Sea, a region controlled by Houthi militias.

Naval sources indicated that the strike resulted in the complete destruction of the vessel and the deaths of at least seven individuals on board. Several others are reported missing.

The sources further stated that the boat originated from the coast of Oman and was transporting dangerous weaponry and contraband, in addition to individuals of foreign nationalities.

Following the strike, Houthi militia boats were observed converging on the incident site to recover bodies.
