Yemeni Forces Recapture Strategic Al-Manara Mount in Taiz
Yemeni armed forces and popular resistance recaptured the strategic Al-Manara Mount in the Al-Aqrosh front in Taiz Governorate on Thursday evening following intense battles with Houthi militias.
Military and field sources told Akhbar Agency that government forces and popular resistance successfully regained control of the mountain, which had been occupied by Houthi fighters. Shouts of "Allahu Akbar" reportedly echoed from its summit after its recapture.
The strategic Al-Manara Mount overlooks the center of the Al-Masrakh district, a key military advantage.
In related developments on the Taiz fronts, an ambush set by members of the armed forces and popular resistance successfully neutralized a Houthi force as it crossed the Kour Valley in the Sabr Al-Mawadim district. The militia had deployed this force to reinforce its fighters.
This territorial gain occurs amidst escalating confrontations between the two sides in the Taiz fronts over recent weeks, coinciding with daily military reinforcements dispatched by the Houthi militia to the front lines.
According to sources, these reinforcements include hundreds of fighters being brought in by the militia from the governorates of Ibb, Dhamar, Amran, Saada, Al-Mahwit, and Al-Bayda.
