Yemeni Army Reports 1,276 Strikes, 382 Houthi Casualties in 24 Hours
Yemeni government forces announced on Monday the execution of 1,276 offensive operations targeting Houthi capabilities across various fronts and axes within the past 24 hours, resulting in the neutralization or killing of 382 militants.
The official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces stated in a release that the operations encompassed field command and control centers, defensive positions, firing positions, military reinforcements, and transportation and logistics assets, in addition to weapons and ammunition depots.
The statement further detailed that concurrently with field operations, government forces conducted "qualitative" operations deep within Houthi-controlled territories. These operations aimed to disrupt the militia's ability to manage combat operations, regroup its forces, and dispatch reinforcements to front lines.
In the Taiz front, the spokesperson reported that government forces, supported by popular resistance and air cover, executed surprise operations on several axes. Military aircraft targeted militia positions, aiding in suppressing firing sources, hindering reinforcement movements, and improving the tactical stance of forces on strategic hills and positions.
The statement also highlighted the continuation of military operations on the fronts of Al Jawf, Marib, Al Bayda, and the southern and southwestern fronts. These operations targeted militia positions, movements, and supply lines to limit their capacity to transfer reserves and mobilize forces between different axes.
According to figures released by the government forces, the operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 382 Houthi leaders and elements. Additionally, 140 vehicles, armored carriers, and heavy weapons were destroyed or damaged, along with several weapons and ammunition caches.
The government forces affirmed their commitment to continuing operations based on the evolving battlefield situation, emphasizing their readiness for sustained offensive actions and increased military pressure on the militia. They also reiterated their adherence to international humanitarian law and their commitment to taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects.
