Forces Repel Houthi Advances in Lahj, Inflicting Heavy Losses

Units from the Giants Brigades, Shield of the Homeland, and Deterrence forces have successfully thwarted Houthi militia attempts to advance on the fronts of Jabal Kakhub and the Mudayribah and Ras Al-Ara districts in Lahj Governorate, inflicting significant casualties on the militia.

Sources from the field indicated that elements of the First Brigade of the Giants Brigades, supported by forces from the Shield of the Homeland, units from the Al-Mihdar (Deterrence) Brigade, and fighters from the Sabiha tribes, managed to break the Houthi attempts to progress in the Kakhub front and along the lines of contact in the Mudayribah and Ras Al-Ara fronts. The militia reportedly sustained losses in personnel and equipment, with substantial quantities of ammunition seized.

Intense clashes erupted at dawn across several fronts in Kakhub and Mudayribah. Concurrently, warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting Houthi militia positions and barracks in the Jabal Kakhub and Bab Al-Mandab areas.

The Houthi militia reportedly sought to advance via the Al-Muhawlah front and along the lines of contact towards Wadi Al-Shat, a location near the center of Mudayribah and Ras Al-Ara districts. The objective was to sever supply lines for government forces stationed in the Kakhub, Bab Al-Mandab, and Al-Amri fronts, aiming to encircle them. However, these efforts were unsuccessful.

According to the sources, Houthi control of Wadi Al-Shat would have cut off vital supply routes to government positions in Bab Al-Mandab, Al-Amri, and Kakhub, explaining the militia's repeated attempts to advance toward the area.

In a related development, the Giants Brigades released video footage showing the destruction of two Houthi military vehicles in the Mudayribah front, one of which was an armored vehicle. The personnel on board were reportedly killed, as announced by the forces.
