Aden Security Launches Extensive Operation Against Cells and Wanted Individuals

The Security Directorate of Aden, the interim capital, has conducted a comprehensive security campaign in the Crater district, aimed at enhancing security, stability, and public order. The operation, executed under the directives of Major General Muthar Ali Naji Al-Shaibi, Director General of Aden Capital Police, and overseen by Mr. Abdulrahman Sheikh, Minister of State and Governor of Aden and Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, seeks to apprehend individuals linked to the Houthi militia, wanted criminals, and those violating the law.

The campaign's objectives include preventing the carrying and public display of weapons, impounding unlicensed vehicles, and removing derelict vehicles from streets and residential areas. Security forces are verifying the identities of suspicious individuals and monitoring elements associated with the Houthi movement.

Furthermore, the operation involves scrutinizing the status of recent arrivals from Houthi-controlled areas to the interim capital. Necessary legal and humanitarian measures are being implemented, with those meeting displacement criteria being referred to designated camps in coordination with relevant authorities.

The initiative also encompasses the removal of unauthorized construction on mountain ranges, contributing to the mitigation of encroachments and the preservation of public appearance and assets.
